Been away today so not seen Oppo (and may have missed complaints from the regulars already aired) but I was surprised to open Jalopnik - to find it was such a mess!
Too many posts vying for attention on screen. I've been happy with all recent changes but this seems to want to put too much in one place.

One hot mess. The layout of late was useable, easy on the eyes....the first new layout in the past several tries that I really liked. The new one, no. It's a wreck.

I had forgotten what it looks like. Been viewing it all day in Chrome with adblock at work. Makes it a bit easier to view since it takes away the banner, and the ads on the sides.

Would you call it the Pontiac Aztec of layouts? It's ugly, barely functional and with bits you don't want or need. But, at the days end, you can make it work with enough NyQuil and strong drink.

Gawker seems to love wasting money on new idea layouts every 3 months. Maybe cool it down abit and let things settle? It's like corporations who think some stupid tests from "accredited" analyst or organization reflects the society today when in reality it's all outdated or stupid bullshit.
If they really wanna waste money, I have a few ideas....like just give me a blank check and I can pay off my debts and take a year long vacation to Thailand to have a sex weekend with random (legal age) prostitutes.
Of course, they could save money and maybe shutter Jezebel.....nobody goes to that site.

I realized it right now. Though I like the new minimalism, the tags and authors are harder to read and everything looks all jumbled up.

it's actually pretty usable with adblock enabled.
I'm curious as to what it looks like without adblock though, but not curious enough to disable it.
